Letters of Authenticity for Old Ruana Knives
If you have an older Ruana Knife that is being passed down as an heirloom or you are trying to sell it, a letter of authenticity will often clear the air about your knife's legitimacy and age, as well as potentially increase the value of your knife. Our letters for older knives will include your knife’s specs, offer an opinion of it's legitimacy as being a Ruana Knife, and its production date as specifically as possible. We will also work with you if you would like to include any certain message in your letter. We will not appraise your knife within the letter, other than offering a current replacement cost for a similar model if you wish.
Old Knife Letter of Authenticity
Type 1:
Old Knife Letter of Authenticity with Text only includes:
On one copy on plain paper, the letter includes a description of your knife, its approximate date of production, our company letterhead, a signature, first class mail for your letter, and embossed corporate seal.
$40 - If your knife is included with the letter, shipping and insurance charges (for the value you wish to insure the knife) will be extra.
Type 2: Old Knife Letter of Authenticity with Color Photo includes:
A written description of your knife, its approximate date of production, our company letterhead, a signature, embossed corporate seal, a color photo of your knife within the letter, first class mail for your letters, and two copies of the letter: one on plain paper and one on glossy paper that is suitable for framing.
$100 if we take the photo or $70 if you provide the photo
If your knife is included with the letter, shipping and insurance charges (for the value you wish to insure the knife) will be extra.
New Knife Letter of Authenticity
Type 1: New Knife Letter of Authenticity with Text only includes:
A description of your knife including its completion date, our company letterhead, a signature, and embossed corporate seal on one copy on plain paper.
$40 when shipped with your new knife.
Type 2: New Knife Letter of Authenticity with Color Photo includes a written description of your knife, its approximate date completion, our company letterhead, a signature, embossed corporate seal, a color photo of your knife within the letter, and two copies of the letter: one on plain paper and one on glossy paper that is suitable for framing.
$70 when shipped with your new knife.
Rates for older knives (shown above) will apply to letters created after your knife has been shipped.
